Casual Contract
Flexible Hours and days per year at weekends
We are expanding our support of large events and catering provision across the Trust and are looking to appoint a team of event assistants who can complement our core team of lettings premises officers to provide safe, secure and welcoming facilities that ensure our community users always have a positive experience when visiting one of our school sites. Event assistants will be offered hours linked to our calendar of large events and catering offer taking place across our secondary schools during the year. Due to the adhoc nature of the events, event assistants will be employed on casual contracts and be given the opportunity to work flexible hours, at specific locations and on days of the year to suit each individual.
There are currently 6 secondary schools in the Trust at which our event assistants will be based:
Ashby School - Ashby de la Zouch
Bosworth Academy - Desford
Countesthorpe Academy - Countesthorpe
Ibstock School - Ibstock
Ivanhoe School - Ashby de la Zouch
The Winstanley School - Braunstone Town
We can be very flexible with these appointments. In terms of location candidates can work at one or more schools, they can work Saturdays, Sundays or both; part days or full days.
We are looking for candidates who have current or recent experience in a customer facing role, ideally within the leisure or hospitality industry. However full training on all aspects of the role will be provided by our Lettings Team and each schools’ Lettings Premises Officer.
You will be joining a team of established Lettings Premises Officers at each of the schools, along with the Lettings Team, who will ensure you are fully integrated into your role.
Candidates may already be working in one of our schools and looking for additional hours. Alternatively candidates may be new to the Trust and looking for flexible weekend working. We are seeking to appoint a team of Event Assistants and can offer flexibility to meet individual preferences.
Closing Date
The closing date for completed applications is Friday 25th September 2026, with interviews taking place shortly after applications have been received. Successful candidates will be invited to undertake some paid training between October and December.

Application forms and further details can be downloaded from Eteach.
